Alevtina Ibragimova vs Yeonwoo Ku prediction

Alevtina Ibragimova arrives in the main draw of the Korea Open with plenty of momentum after winning both of her qualifying matches in straight sets. The 21-year-old opened with a 6-3 6-2 victory over Rina Saigo before beating Sara Saito in the final qualifying round. Those wins came immediately after an excellent week on the clay at the WTA 125 event in Antalya, where Ibragimova reached the final. She is now at a career high of 166 in the world.

Yeonwoo Ku enters her home tournament as a wildcard. The 23-year-old was last in action in US Open qualifying, where she beat Astra Sharma before losing in three sets to Storm Hunter, despite taking the lead. Her standout run of 2026 came at the W100 in Evansville two months ago, where she reached the final, losing to Caroline Dolehide. 

Ku has achieved the better results on this surface over the last few months and will have home support, but Ibragimova brings significantly stronger immediate form.
