Aleksandar Vukic has struggled for consistency this season, and his only quarter-final occurred right at the start of the year in Adelaide. Overall, he has just 12 wins from 31 matches since the start of the campaign. However, the Australian can take confidence from his record in the opening round of Wimbledon, having reached the second-round in all three of his previous main draw appearances.
He will face Jenson Brooksby. The American has struggled for form in 2026, and only just ended a nine-match losing run at Queen’s Club two weeks ago. Brooksby has won only six out of 22 matches this season, with his best result at Wimbledon being a third-round appearance in 2022.
These two played against each other just last week at the Eastbourne Open, with Brooksby winning 7-5 6-1. Vukic is certainly the underdog here, but he should be able to challenge the American, who has not been convincing at all over the last few months.
