Aleksandar Vukic squandered numerous opportunities but still defeated world number 277 Marko Tobo in three sets. The Australian made a strong start, but his level dropped in the second as Tobo forced a decider. Vukic broke twice in the third set to win 6-4 3-6 6-1.
