Aleksandar Kovacevic vs Stefanos Tsitsipas prediction

Aleksandar Kovacevic defeated Luca Van Assche in straight sets to advance at the Winston-Salem Open. The American raced clear in the first set and went a break up in the second, but Van Assche broke back and had a set point at 6-5 up. Kovacevic would save it and edge clear in the tiebreak, winning 6-1 7-6 (6). He also beat Felix Balshaw in the opening round.

His next opponent is Stefanos Tsitsipas. The former world number three beat Jenson Brooksby to set up a meeting with Kovacevic. The Greek started slowly and found himself 4-2 down in the first set, but he then reeled off four games in a row to go in front. The second set was decided by a tiebreak, with Tsitsipas saving a set point and winning 6-4 7-6 (6). 

Tsitsipas leads the head-to-head 1-0 after a straight sets win in the quarter-final stage of the Los Cabos Open in 2024. He was far from convincing in his last match, but he is still the firm favourite to win.
