Aleksandar Kovacevic vs Juncheng Shang prediction

Aleksandar Kovacevic’s poor form continued as he failed to make it out of qualifying for the Japan Open following a defeat to Aleksandar Vukic. He is now without a victory in his last four matches and has just one win from his last eight in total, with that being a first-round win at the Winston-Salem Open over a month ago. He has reached two finals on the ATP Tour this season, in Marseille and Los Cabos, but Kovacevic needs to rediscover his mojo quickly.

Juncheng Shang picked up his first win since January after a long spell out with injury in Chengdu. However, he would go on to lose in the next round to Brandon Nakashima and then failed to close out a victory against Arthur Cazaux in round one of the China Open despite an amazing start. 

Shang is starting to consistently get matches under his belt, and while he might not be the favourite, he could certainly push an out-of-form Kovacevic to a decider. A three set match between these two holds strong value.
