Aleksandar Kovacevic vs Brandon Nakashima prediction
Aleksandar Kovacevic defeated Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in three sets to advance to the semi-finals in Brisbane. The American took the first set but Mpetshi Perricard broke at the start of the second and managed to force a decider. Kovacevic broke the big serving Frenchman for the first time in the third set and went on to win 7-6 (3) 4-6 6-3 after one hour and 47 minutes.
He now takes on a fellow American in Brandon Nakashima. He continued his serene progress as he got past Raphael Collignon in straight sets. The 24-year-old was not broken on serve and managed to save six break points as he won 6-3 6-3 after one hour and 22 minutes.
Both players will be encouraged by their respective starts to 2026. Nakashima has been incredibly solid and is yet to drop a set at the tournament. He wasn’t able to make a final last year, but this is a golden opportunity for him to reach one at the first time of asking in 2026.
