Learner Tien bagged his fourth top ten win of the year with a supreme victory over Andrey Rublev. 

The American teenager surged to a 7-5 6-2 win over the Russian fifth seed to once again demonstrate his exceptional potential.

The 19-year-old will now face Alejandro Davidovich Fokina after the 12th seed cruised to a 6-4 6-2 success against his compatriot Jaume Munar. 

This is their first meeting and the Spaniard will be well aware he will be another seed under threat with Tien particularly dangerous on hardcourts. 

Whether expectation unnerves the American remains to be seen, but he will have the backing of the home support and Foki will be more vulnerable than when he is on his favoured clay.
