Ajla Tomljanovic vs Linda Noskova prediction

Ajla Tomljanovic made it through qualifying to enter the main draw here. She began her grass court season at Queen’s but lost a close three set match in the first-round to Great Britain’s Katie Boulter. She then failed to get out of the qualifying stages for the German Open last week. The Australian has thrived on grass in the past, with two quarter-final appearances in consecutive years at Wimbledon but she is struggling to find that spark as the third Grand Slam of the year approaches.

Linda Noskova advanced to the quarter-finals of the Nottingham Open last time out. She was close to making the last four as she won the first set in her match with Rebecca Sramkova but went on to lose 3-6 6-4 6-4. Noskova’s best result this year was a run to the semi-finals of the Abu Dhabi Open in early February, but she has not been able to reach the same heights since.

Tomljanovic is struggling to recapture the level that made her such a dangerous player on grass in the past and Noskova will be favourite to win this one and make it through.
