Ajla Tomljanovic vs Katie Boulter prediction

Ajla Tomljanovic exacted revenge over Mary Joint for her defeat in the semi-finals of the Morrocco Open by beating her just days later in the first-round of Roland Garros. However, she would fall at the next stage to fourth seed Jasmine Paolini. She now returns to grass and does hold some pedigree on the surface, having reached two quarters at Wimbledon in her career and made the final of the Birmingham Classic last year.

Katie Boulter broke new ground at Roland Garros as she won her first main draw match but still lost comfortably to Madison Keys in the next round. She also picked up her first clay court title a week earlier after winning a 125 event in Paris. She will have plenty of home support behind her when she starts her grass court campaign.

The head-to-head is 1-1 with Tomljanovic winning their match on grass in Nottingham three years ago. They’ve both had contrasting fortunes since then, with the Brit improving while Tomljanovic has faded as a force in the women’s game. We’re backing Boulter to advance on this occasion.

Ajla Tomljanovic vs Katie Boulter tip: Katie Boulter to win 2-0
