Ajla Tomljanovic vs Coco Gauff prediction

Loads of eyes will be on Coco Gauff at this year’s US Open as they always are when the tennis world converges onto Queens. At the age of just 23, Gauff has already won two Grand Slam singles titles, the French Open earlier this year and the US Open back in 2023. The USA superstar’s athleticism and outstanding range of shots across the court makes her a brilliant hard court player.

Gauff’s opponent is Australian Ajla Tomljanovic, whom she faced back in the 2024 Olympic Games, which saw the American come out on top in straight sets, dropping only three games. Most recently, Tomljanovic reached the round of 16 in Monterrey but was knocked out in the second round in Cincinnati.

This contest is expected to be dominated by Gauff, who should take control of proceedings early on and not loosen her grip following that. Backing Gauff to please the home crowd and defeat Tomljanovic in straight sets has to be favoured.
