Clara Tauson will be eager to end a winless run in Adelaide. 

The Dane lost her opening match of the year in Brisbane and has been beaten in her last three stretching back into 2025.

One of those defeats came against Ajla Tomljanovic, who did pick up a first win of the year in Brisbane before being edged out by Karolina Muchova in a final set tie-break in the second round. 

Ajla leads the head-to-head 3-2 but honours were even with a win apiece in 2025. 

The Aussie will fancy her chances on home turf as she looks to make inroads back towards the top 50 with a good run over the next month. 

Tauson is the fifth seed here and will have designs on the top ten, but she will need to settle fast against an opponent who has the firepower and movement to make life very difficult.
