THE PREDICTION
North Melbourne narrowly avoided the wooden spoon last season as they finished just above Adelaide Crows despite both teams finishing with just three wins to their name. The Kangaroos ended the campaign in terrible form as they lost eight successive matches and that will be hanging over them at the start of this year. They face a tough task to end that run as they take on minor premiers Port Adelaide and despite the Power faltering in the finals, they can get off to a positive start here by comfortably dispatching the hosts by at least 25 points.
