THE PREDICTION
Melbourne took advantage of Western Bulldogs’ defeat to Sydney Swans
last week by beating Port Adelaide in what was a hard-fought win and
that saw them open up a four-point lead at the top of the ladder. The
Demons dominated throughout and came out on top in all four quarters of
the contest and they will be desperate to make it back-to-back victories
after struggling for consistency of late. They take on struggling
Hawthorn in their latest contest and they come into this on the back of a
heavy loss to Fremantle last time out. The Hawks have lost their last
four meetings with the Demons and there is little to suggest that record
will improve here with the hosts able to condemn their opponents to
another big loss of at least 30 points.
