THE PREDICTION
This match signals the end of a five-year spell for Essendon coach John Worsfold and he will be hoping his team can pick themselves up and play with pride after last week’s heavy loss against Port Adelaide. They were beaten even worse the previous match against Geelong as their motivation is clearly waning but he will ask for a reaction from his men here. They face a motivated Melbourne Demons side who simply have to win to have any chance of reaching the finals. Defeat will see them eliminated but they will be focused on getting their victory and put pressure on the Western Bulldogs. While Essendon surely cannot be as bad as they have been in the last two games, Melbourne should still have the edge here so add them to your accumulator to get the win here but be cautious on the handicap.
