THE PREDICTION
Brisbane Lions and Richmond renew their rivalry in the first week of the finals and it is the home side that have it all to prove despite finishing higher on the ladder. The Lions missed out on the minor premiership due to a lower percentage than Port Adelaide but that was not the only blow they suffered by finishing second with them now facing the reigning premiers. The Tigers have won the last 15 meetings between the two teams with the Lions last coming out on top in 2009. That record will weigh heavily on the Lions, especially as they lost at the same stage during last season’s finals against Richmond and whilst their losing streak has to end at some point, it is difficult to overlook that record here with the Tigers able to extend their hoodoo over the Brisbane outfit.
