THE PREDICTION
Brisbane Lions ended their horrific run of form against Richmond as they dispatched the defending premiers in week 1 of the finals. They come into this on the back of a week off but they will have to be wary against a Geelong Cats side that were brilliant in their clash with Collingwood. The Cats hammered the Magpies 100-32 and the manner of that victory will have made the remaining sides in the competition sit up and take note. However, the Lions have won their last eight matches and are the team to beat in this contest. The Cats can push them all the way and it would be no surprise if they came out on top having won nine of the last ten clashes between the two teams but the Lions have already managed to overcome one poor head-to-head record in the finals this year and they can do it again to progress to the Grand Final.
