Adrian Mannarino vs Titouan Droguet prediction
Adrian Mannarino’s continued struggles on clay meant he was on a nine-match losing run as he begun his grass court campaign at the Libema Open. The veteran subsequently won three matches on the spin to reach his first tour-level semi-final since February, before losing to Alex de Minaur in straight sets. His also beat Roland Garros semi-finalist Jakub Mensik in the opening round of Queen’s Club, but lost his next match to wildcard Arthur Fery. Mannarino then competed in Mallorca, losing to Nuno Borges in round one.
His first-round opponent is Titouan Droguet. The Frenchman appeared in Dublin on the Challenger Tour a fortnight ago, winning three matches in a row to make the semi-finals. However, he then lost to Jurij Rodionov in straight sets. His highlight of the season on the ATP Tour was his run to the last four at the Open Occitanie in Montpellier.
Mannarino’s experience and proven success on grass should prove decisive, but Droguet has enough firepower to keep this competitive.
