Adrian Mannarino vs Sho Shimabukuro prediction
Adrian Mannarino’s form picked up in Montpellier a few weeks ago, as he won four matches in a row to make his first final since 2023. However, he was uncompetitive in the final as he lost to Felix Auger-Aliassime without creating a single break point. He then competed in Dallas, winning his first-round match against Adam Walton but then losing to Ben Shelton in three sets. He will hope to get more wins under his belt in Acapulco this week.
He faces Sho Shimabukuro in the first-round. The Japanese is up to his highest ranking of 130 in the world. Shimabukuro managed to qualify for events in Dallas and Delray Beach but then lost in the first-round of both. He has fared better on the Challenger Tour, having made the semi-finals in San Diego last month.
Shimabukuro is not yet able to find a way of becoming a threat on the main tour, and Mannarino is the clear favourite to advance in this match.
