Adolfo Daniel Vallejo vs Moise Kouame prediction

Adolfo Daniel Vallejo progressed to the next round of the French Open as his opponent Cameron Norrie was forced to retire in the second set. Both players participated in a thoroughly competitive first set, with Vallejo saving three set points and going on to convert one of his own. Norrie was troubled by a rib injury in the lead up to this event, and he decided that he could not continue with Vallejo leading 7-6 (7) 2-0.

He now plays teenager Moise Kouame for a place in the third-round. Kouame became the first player born in 2009 to win a main draw match at a Grand Slam as he beat 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic in straight sets. The Frenchman edged ahead after the first set but completely dominated the next two to win 7-6 (4) 6-2 6-1. He is the youngest player to win a men’s singles Grand Slam match since 2009 and the youngest at Roland Garros since 1991.

Vallejo is the favourite for this match, but the prodigious young Kouame could trouble him for at least a set, particularly in front of a partisan home crowd.
