Adam Walton is into the second-round of the Winston-Salem Open after a comfortable win over Jesper de Jong. The Australian, who was just a few games away from the round-of-16 in Cincinnati last time out, saved all five break points on his own serve and broke on three occasions to win 6-2 6-4. He now plays Ignacio Buse for a place in the round-of-16.

Buse received a bye in the first-round. The Peruvian picked up his first tour-level title in Hamburg a few months ago. He has only played seven matches on hard courts this season, winning three and losing four matches overall. Buse is still ranked inside the world’s top 40.

These two actually played each other for the first time nine days ago in Cincinnati, with Walton winning in straight sets. He will be regarded as the favourite to repeat the feat here, with the Australian having won three of his last four matches in total.
