Adam Walton vs Gabriel Diallo prediction
Adam Walton was beaten by Sho Shimabukuru in the second qualifying round in Florida a few days ago. The Aussie put up a bit of a fight in the first round of the Australian Open in a straight sets loss to eventual winner Carlos Alcaraz. He hasn’t won a tournament match since defeating Tristan Schoolkate in Kazakhstan back in October.
Gabriel Diallo enjoyed something of a breakthrough year in 2025 with his first career title in the ATP 250 Libema Open in the Netherlands, while also reaching the second round in three of the four Grand Slam events. However, he was knocked out fairly comfortably in straight sets by Ben Shelton in the first round of the Dallas Open last week.
Walton very much is a Lucky Loser to be in this first round after some fight shown but a generally poor few months and Diallo, despite not being at his best, is favourite to progress.
