World number 70 Max Purcell stunned home favourite Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets last week in Toronto and he came close to doing the same to Andy Murray in a three-set slog before defeat. The 25-year-old has grafted hard on the Challenger tour this season to bring himself up to a career-high ATP world ranking of 62nd in June and he looks capable of breaking that again if he can maintain his current level. Former world number 31 Lloyd Harris is stull working his way back up the rankings, currently at 186th, after a long injury lay-off. The 26-year-old is certainly good enough to do so but there have been few signs of an imminent resurgence to suggest that this first encounter is Purcell’s to lose. Back the Aussie to earn at least a set or consider taking at least a tiebreak in the match with Harris’ serve one of the harder to break on tour.
