Fourth seed Jenson Brooksby claimed his first tour-level win of the season with a three-set victory over Andreas Seppi on Thursday. The 21-year-old would have shone at the Next Gen ATP Finals last season were it not for an unfortunate injury keeping him out but he should enjoy plenty more progression in 2022. World number 83 Jordan Thompson has been enjoying the inaugural Dallas Open so far with two excellent straight-set wins over Feliciano Lopez and eighth-seed Brandon Nakashima. After taking out another talented young American in Nakashima, the Aussie looks the slight favourite to come through here but home advantage should see Brooksby snatch at least a set. The sensible move here is for Thompson to take at least one, though.
