World number 543 Shang Juncheng beat Francisco Cerundolo and Mats Moraing to become the lowest-ranked player in the Men’s Singles draw this week at Indian Wells. The 17-year-old Chinese prospect lost to Daniel Rincon in the US Open Boy’s Final last season and he looks one to watch over the next few years after making his tour debut at the Rio Open last month. World number 99 Jaume Munar should have little trouble winning this match but he could b caught cold early if he is not careful. The 24-year-old was exceptional in a five-set defeat to Aslan Karatsev at the Australian Open back in January but he has been unable to replicate that intensity long enough for a significant win since. Munar should be winning this in straight sets, if Shang’s straight-sets defeat at the Rio Open to Pedro Martinez is anything to go by, but the outright pick is a sensible concession here.
