THE PREDICTION

England will be looking to make it three wins from three when they face Wales at Parc y Scarlets with the pressure of an away clash lessened by the lack of fans. It will be just Wales coach Wayne Pivac’s luck that covid-19 restrictions are lifted to allow fans in soon after the culmination of this game when it is too late to help their cause against a clearly superior English side. Eddie Jones’ squad is as strong as possible and his opting for George Ford at 10 plus captain Owen Farrell suggests they are in the hunt to finish the group stage as offensively as possible in preparation for a likely showdown with France in the play-offs. Wales achieved an unconvincing 18-0 against Georgia last time out and the negativity surrounding them right now could spell the end for Pivac after the tournament concludes. Meanwhile, England can cover -15 here and will enjoy turning the screw.
