Both Brive and Toulon are on two-match winning runs after losing their first Top 14 matches of the new year and this looks like it will be a highly competitive encounter. The hosts did very well to beat an explosive Pau side away from home on Sunday whilst Toulon have strung together two impressive wins against Racing 92 and Stade Francais last time out to go third in the table before this weekend’s games. There is a big opportunity to close the gap on one of La Rochelle and Toulouse at the top as they face each other in a huge clash on Sunday and so Toulon cannot let this one slip through their fingers. Brive are in good form but the gulf in quality should eventually tell in this one and the visitors can cover -5 in victory here.
