RICARDO RAMOS VS CHARLES JOURDAIN LOWDOWN
It has been over a year since we have seen Ricardo Ramos (16-4) and his elbow. He last graced the octagon in June last year when he delivered his second spinning back elbow knockout. Danny Chavez was the victim that time and it came in response to losing a unanimous decision to Zubaira Tukhugov (2022).
Charles Jourdain (14-6-1) is also coming off a dub in response to a loss. He lost two in a row in fact dropping decisions to Shane Burgos (2022) and Nathaniel Wood (2022). He then welcomed back submission wizard Kron Gracie to the octagon and capitalized on a weak performance walking away with a unanimous decision boosting his UFC record to 5-5-1.
RICARDO RAMOS VS CHARLES JOURDAIN PREDICTION
Ramos comes from a grappling background whereas Jourdain comes from a striking background. However, they are both very well-rounded as black belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu with knockout ability on the feet.
They are both natural finishers and very tough which will create a war. Ramos is more unorthodox with the ability to change the course of the fight with one punch or spinning attack and Jourdain will keep up the volume and force a pressure.
We expect the majority of this fight to be contested on the feet with some clinch work thrown in. This has the makings of a ‘Fight of the Night’ performance and it will be very competitive.
For that reason, the value is on Ramos as the underdog, but we feel Jourdain will get stronger as the fight goes on to snatch a decision.
