MIRANDA MAVERICK VS JASMIN JASUDAVICIUS LOWDOWN
Miranda Maverick (11-4) slotted into prospect status after outpointing the formidable Gillian Robertson (2021) but then ran into a couple of beasts. She lost a dubious split decision to Maycee Barber (2021) and then a more convincing unanimous decision to the future title challenger Erin Blanchfield (2021). However, she is back to business with back-to-back dubs submitting Sabina Mazo and outpointing Shanna Young last year.
Jasmin Jasudavicius (8-2) made a good impression on her UFC debut outpointing Kay Hansen (2022) to extend her streak to three. She suffered a blip five months later getting outpointed by Natalie Silva, but she is also coming off a win which was another unanimous decision over Gabriella Fernandes which was back in February.
MIRANDA MAVERICK VS JASMIN JASUDAVICIUS PREDICTION
Maverick is well rounded and an effective southpaw striker, but she will be giving up three inches in reach and four in height. However, Jasudavicius is a wrestler and she will leverage that height and reach to tie Maverick up and drag her to the canvas.
Maverick is a very good wrestler herself, but she is not on the same level as the Canadian and needs to use her skills to defend and keep the fight on the feet to unleash her striking.
We expect both fighters to have success with Jasudavicius landing takedowns and Maverick finding a home for her hands and kicks. That said, Maverick is the heavy favourite due to her wrestling ability and we feel that will be enough to get the job done, but we can easily to a split decision with judges being swayed by the control time of the home favourite.
