MATEUSZ GAMROT VS RAFAEL DOS ANJOS LOWDOWN
Mateusz Gamrot (23-2-(1)) fought twice last year but his last fight ended prematurely after Rafael Fiziev blew his knee out. Gutting for everyone involved, but the Pole has another opportunity to gain momentum from a big name. His last loss was a unanimous decision to Beneil Dariush (2022) and he responded with a split decision over Jalin Turner (2023) to boost his UFC tally to 6-2.
Rafael dos Anjos (32-15) makes his 35th appearance inside the octagon. He is inevitably finding wins harder to come by than he is used. He is 3-2 in his last five with a close split decision win over Paul Felder (2020) and much more dominant decision over Renato Moicano (2022). He then got knocked out by Fiziev (2022), submitted Bryan Barberena (2022) but is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Vicente Luque (2023) to dent his UFC record to 21-13

It is crazy that two of the best grapplers in the UFC are only on the prelims illustrating just how stacked his card is. Gamrot is one of the best wrestlers in the division and dos Anjos has some of the best jiu-jitsu, but they are class everywhere.
Dos Anjos is more well-rounded, and his experience speaks for itself. He will be confident he can stifle the wrestling and keep the fight on the feet. He is the more technical striker and can win this if he can create enough space.
However, Gamrot is water-tight and will be on the veteran like glue. We expect him to eat a few clean shots but ultimately tie the Brazilian up long enough to nullify the weapons and convince the judges. Considering the huge odds, dos Anjos is worth a small punt.
