THE TEAM NEWS
OXFORD
- Oxford play host to Portsmouth in the second leg of their League One play-off semi-final encounter with the tie finely poised after a 1-1 draw on the Friday in the first leg.
- They had to weather a strong start to the game from Pompey and had looked set to go in an half-time trailing but an excellent solo goal from Marcus Browne in the closing moments of the first half put them back on level terms.
- Karl Robinson may opt to make a couple of changes, and these may be in midfield as Oxford were at times left second best in that area against Portsmouth during the first leg.
PORTSMOUTH
- Portsmouth travel to Oxford feeling they probably should have held an advantage from the first leg after putting in a strong performance that warranted more than one goal.
- Despite the long enforced break they showed good intensity from the off at Fratton Park and deservedly took the lead through Ronan Curtis but were unable to hold onto the lead until half-time.
- Pompey had more than one decent penalty appeal turned down, including one late in the second half which left Kenny Jackett obviously very frustrated.

Oxford and Portsmouth do battle for a place in the League One play-off final in what should be an intriguing second leg at the Kassam Stadium. Oxford were in the better form prior to the disruption of the season but it was Portsmouth who came out of the blocks fasters and will feel they should have a lead going into this game. Oxford are likely to improve this time out and with Pompey in a confident mood it’s a match that is close to call. The recommended bet is a draw after 90 minutes of action with both teams scoring.
