FPL Gameweek 26 – head-to-head comparisons: Sergio Aguero vs Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

He could have had a first half hat-trick, but ultimately Sergio Aguero (£12.0m) failed to find the back of the net in Man City 2-0 defeat at Spurs and was subbed off shortly after the hour once the Citizens were reduced to 10 men following a sending off. There was also disappointment for Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.8m), who spurned numerous chances of his own to score away at Burnley in a 0-0 draw on his return from suspension.

Both players have enticing fixture ahead in Gameweek 26, with Man City at home to West Ham and Arsenal hosting Newcastle. Despite failing to score at the weekend, Aguero still has seven goals in his last five Premier League appearances. Whilst it remains to be seen as to whether Aubameyang can shake off his rustiness in front of goal against Newcastle, Aguero is in form and against a West Ham side who have shipped nine goals in their last three Premier League matches, it would take a brave FPL manager not to have him in their team for this fixture.

Verdict: Sergio Aguero
