THE PREDICTION

After a tricky start to the new Premiership season in which Exeter Chiefs lost their first two games, a corner looks well-turned after three-straight wins. An impressive 23-27 victory away at in-form Wasps is their second on the road this season too which bodes well for a title tilt and they will be confident of going four in a row here against poor travellers London Irish. The Exiles are still without a win this season after a second draw from five games, and a second from three at home with a 25-25 stalemate against Gloucester. An opening day defeat at Worcester looks increasingly like an opportunity missed with two draws and two defeats by no more than five points since suggesting they are more competitive than last season. However, a trip to Sandy Park is unlikely to bear any fruit. It could be closer than some think, with the hosts to cover -10 a solid, cautious pick and -18 a risk.
