THE PREDICTION
The two big-hitters of Group B collide after each found the net four times across their respective opening fixtures. Whilst Germany thrashed Denmark 4-0, Spain recovered from the early shock of going behind to triumph 4-1 over Finland. When taking into account the attacking riches at the disposal of both nations you would expect an entertaining affair, although Spain were rocked by the losses of both Jennifer Hermoso and Alexia Putellas ahead of the tournament. The absence of those two players could well tell in a match such as this against a strong German outfit. Combine that with the fact that Spain have never beaten Germany in the European Championships and it looks a shrewd play to back Martina Voss-Tecklenburg’s side to gain at least a point here, if not all three via the double chance market.
