THE PREDICTION

Roberto Bautista Agut put in his best performance of the season to comfortably make it past a tough opponent in Ugo Humbert and reach the semi-finals of the Open Sud de France. The 32-year-old should now be solid favourite for the title as the first seed, with an out-of-sorts David Goffin and in-form world number 83 Egor Gerasimov on the other side of the draw left. First, though, the Spaniard must overcome Peter Gojowczyk for a fifth time having beaten the German on all four previous occasions in which they have played. The world number 144 has come from the qualifiers to teach the semi-finals here with a first round win over Jan-Lennard Struff looking particularly impressive, but Gojowczyk is unlikely to be able to take a set from the first seed here. Bautista Agut is yet to drop a set here in Montpellier and can win in two here to continue that trend.
