31-year-old Benoit Paire won just his second match on tour this season in a straight-sets victory over Munich Open champion Nikoloz Basilashvili but he has not been rewarded for his efforts. The Frenchman will face possibly the most in-form player on tour right now in world number five Stefanos Tsitsipas, who lost his last match in the Barcelona Open final to Rafael Nadal less than two weeks ago. The 22-year-old Greek looks a solid runner for the last four of any tournament he enters right now and whilst Paire is something of a loose cannon this year he should struggle to challenge his opponent here. Tsitsipas was the winner in straight sets at their last match this year in Acapulco and he should emulate that here.
