Andalucia Open’s first seed Pablo Carreno Busta lived up to his billing with a straight-sets victory over fellow Spaniard Mario Vilella Martinez on Wednesday and will take on Soonwoo Kwon for a first time. The South Korean was challenged throughout his first match with 17-year-old Danish prospect Holger Rune but came through in three sets on Monday before demolishing Facundo Bagnis in the round of 16. 23-year-old Kwon reached a career high of 69 in the world last year and should be taken seriously by world number 15 Carreno Busta but this is admittedly a bit of a mis-match at this stage of the tournament. There are very few players here in Marbella that could realistically stop PCB from claiming the title and Kwon is not one of them, take the first seed to win this in straight sets.
