THE PREDICTION

Worcester Warriors were thumped 36-12 at in-form Sale Sharks last Saturday to make it three defeats on the spin in the Premiership. Each of their three league wins this season have come at home and they will consider this Friday night clash with Bristol Bears a reasonable target with their visitors’ star players away on international duty. Bristol are coming off a troubling capitulation after going in 15-10 at half-time last Friday before London Irish turned the tables completely for a 32-49 result. In normal service they should be backed to come away the comfortable winners here but there is a scent of an upset about this match, especially with poor conditions likely, that makes backing the hosts to win with a hefty +5 head-start look a shrewd move.
