THE TEAM NEWS
- Montpellier were unable to put their poor Top 14 form behind them as they were edged out by Connacht in an entertaining clash last week and they will be glad to host here.
- The French outfit have now only managed one victory from their last seven matches and are in desperate need of a win here or they could fall by the wayside in this difficult Pool 5.
Line-ups: Fichten, B. du Plessis, Chilachava, J. du Plessis, Mikautadze, Ouedraogo, Camara, Timu, Paillaugue (capt), Bouthier, Nadalo, Serfontein, A. Vincent, Reilhac, Immelman.
Replacements: Delhommel, Nariashvili, Haouas, Devergie, Sanga, M. Vincent, Darmon, Willemse.
- Gloucester lost their third consecutive match in all competitions as they blew a big lead to fall to defeat at home to Toulouse, though the French side look to be the ones to beat in Pool 5.
- Gloucester have a long injury list and while it looked like World Cup winner Franco Mostert was set for a return to training this week he looks to have missed out.
Line-ups: Woodward, Rees-Zammit, Harris, Twelvetrees, Thorley, Evans, Braley, Hohneck, Fourie, Balmain, Craig, Grobler, Polledri, Kriel (capt), Clarke.
Replacements: Gleave, Rapava Ruskin, Ford-Robinson, Ackermann, Ludlow, Simpson, Atkinson, Banahan.
Montpellier are badly out of form and that could present Gloucester with a chance to end their own poor record. The visitors will need to play well and overcome a big injury list but with the home side managing just one win from their last seven, Gloucester should come out on top by a respectable score.
