Pau started the new Top 14 season like a steam train but five straight defeats to the current top 5 teams in the league is an unfortunate but reasonable outcome. They will be desperate to bounce back now with this winnable home fixture against Castres, who have not won since October despite being well-in plenty of their games and drawing with Toulouse recently. It will be interesting to see what five straight defeats does for the hosts’ confidence but they have a healthy amount of points for 10 games played and they can edge what could be quite a tetchy encounter here. The result could be too close to call but, realistically, Pau should be able to cover -5 at home.
