Head Coach: Adrian Lam

Squad: Burgess, Byrne, Clubb, Flower, French, Gildart, Greenwood, Hankinson, Hardaker, Isa, Leuluai, Navarrete, O’Loughlin, Partington, Powell, Sarginson, Smith, Smithies, Williams

Unavailable: Gabe Hamlin, Dom Manfredi, Tom Davies, Joe Bullock, Jarrod Sammut, Liam Marshall, Liam Farrell

  • Wigan picked up their sixth win in a row as they defeated Catalans last week and know a win here will ensure they finish second in the table which will give them home advantage in the play-offs.

  • Liam Farrell will sit this game out for the Warriors after he handed a one-match ban following a dangerous throw against Catalans whilst Liam Marshall has also been sidelined with a hamstring injury which also kept him out of last week’s game.

  • Taking their places in the 19-man squad are captain Sean O’Loughlin and Ben Flower who are back in the mix following long injury lay-offs which will give their pack a significant boost ahead of the play-offs.

Head Coach: Daryl Powell

Squad: Blair, Clare, Clarkson, Ellis, Holmes, Massey, Mata’utia, McMeeken, McShane, Millington, Milner, Minikin, O’Neill, Rankin, Sene-Lefao, Smith, Trueman, Turner, Watts

Unavailable: Luke Gale, Alex Foster, Michael Shenton, Junior Moors, Greg Eden

  • Castleford were superb as they brushed aside play-off rivals Hull FC to leave their top 5 fate in their own hands ahead of this game and they know victory over Wigan will extend their season by at least a week.

  • Chris Clarkson will come back into contention for the Tigers which has given head coach Daryl Powell a selection headache with Will Maher making way from last week’s 19-man squad.

  • That is the only change to the squad and will ensure minimal changes to the 17 that take to the field with Matt Cook and Daniel Smith two of those fighting to retain their place in the side following Clarkson’s return.

Wigan's turnaround from the first half of the season has been remarkable and they can complete it by beating Castleford to finish second. It will be a tough test against a Tigers outfit that need to win themselves to secure their own play-off spot but the Warriors can edge it to make it seven wins in a row and position themselves for a tilt at the Grand Final with home advantage providing them with a huge boost.
