PREDICTION
Marcus Rashford was the hero of the hour in Manchester United’s last Premier League outing as his brace meant that the Red Devils got the better of their arch rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford. Although the win solidified second in the table, they could still go into their clash with Swansea lying in third place.

If that is to be the case, then Jose Mourinho can at least take solace in the fact that United will have two games in hand over Liverpool. Next up for them is a Swansea side that were comfortably beaten by Tottenham in the FA Cup quarter-finals, although you do get the feeling that some of their focus that afternoon was on top-flight survival.

There is no doubting the fact that Carlos Carvalhal has been something of a shrewd appointment since being installed as Swansea manager, but even he will have his work cut out if the club are to get anything from this one as a home win looks the most likely outcome.

MEMORABLE MEETING
August 2014 saw Louis Van Gaal begin his stint as Manchester United and it could not have got off to a worse start as he and his players were dealt an opening day defeat at home to Swansea.

Ki Sung-Yeung shocked everyone when he opened the scoring in the first half and when Wayne Rooney restored parity 10 minutes after the restart many felt that would be the impetus for the Red Devils to go on and win the game.

However, Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurdsson silenced Old Trafford as he scored the game’s winning goal with 18 minutes remaining to give Swansea a memorable win.
