STATS & FACTS
Last five head-to-head meetings - Manchester United W3, Leicester W2.

Manchester United have not lost any of their last five matches with Leicester.

Manchester United are top of the Premier League and also have the accolade of being the league’s highest scorers. A pair of 4-0 wins has seen them register eight goals already this season.

Leicester have also been impressive with regards to scoring as they have registered the joint second highest amount of goals with five.

Last season saw an aggregate scoreline in the league between the two clubs of 7-1 to Manchester United, as Jose Mourinho’s men picked up routine wins both home and away (4-1 and 0-3).

The two teams also faced off in the 2016 Community Shield - a game that would see Zlatan Ibrahimovic score the winner in a 2-1 win at Wembley.

Of the nine goals that Leicester conceded to Manchester United last season in total, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Juan Mata were the only players to have got on the scoresheet more than once (two goals each).

This will be the first time in which Jose Mourinho and Craig Shakespeare will face off as managerial opponents.

This will be the 125th time that the two clubs have faced off against each other. Manchester United have won just over 50% of those with 63 wins to their name, while Leicester have picked up 33 victories in amongst 28 draws.

In the Premier League era, the two clubs have met 22 times and Manchester United have come out on top on 14 occasions, scoring a total of 50 goals during those matches.

MOST MEMORABLE MEETING
The last time Leicester beat Manchester United was a 5-3 thriller at the King Power Stadium back in September 2014. Leicester found themselves 3-1 down but scored four unanswered goals in the final 30 minutes to cap off a remarkable comeback.
