PREDICTION
This is it then, the game in which Manchester City can win the Premier League title for the first time since 2014 and what a way to be able do so, beating Manchester United on their own turf and in turn being declared champions of England.

Pep Guardiola’s men have been a cut above the rest this season as the points gap over their nearest rivals would indicate, ans they would love nothing more than to secure the title under these special circumstances.

However, by the same token, Jose Mourinho would love nothing more than to spoil the party. That said, he cannot necessarily afford to play for a draw and park the bus what with both Liverpool and Tottenham hot on his heels in the race to finish as the ‘best of the rest’ at the end of campaign.

These two sides met earlier in the season at Old Trafford and it was City who drew first blood thanks to a 2-1 win. They took a hit midweek but you get the feeling that this will be the evening in which we finally see their coronation as they secure the victory they require.

MEMORABLE MEETING
Manchester City may have won the 2012 Premier League title in dramatic fashion but their arch rivals United would at least exact some revenge seven months later with a memorable 3-2 win at the Etihad.

It looked as if the game was set to end in a stalemate as the clock ticked down to its final few seconds, however there was still time for United to be awarded a free kick on the edge of City’s penalty area.

The free kick that would be taken by United’s big summer signing of that year, Robin Van Persie. He in turn would score to silence the home fans and give the bragging rights back to the red half of Manchester.
