PREDICTION
Crystal Palace were denied a vital win away at Bournemouth last weekend as the experts of scoring late goals this season did so once more at the Vitality Stadium. Roy Hodgson’s side arguably were guilty of not wrapping up the game when they had the chance and in turn they were punished for their profligacy.

Although there was disappointment not to win, the point does at least extend the gap between themselves and Southampton as the race to beat the drop intensifies further, and this weekend they go into the heat of the battle once more as arch rivals Brighton make the short journey to South London.

Chris Hughton’s men also had to make do with a point last Saturday and like Palace they will have felt that it was two points dropped after being held to a draw by Huddersfield. It was perhaps a result that did them no real favours especially when you look at their end of season run-in.

Not only is this another ‘six-pointer’ on the horizon but there will also be local bragging rights up for grabs. A win would be great for either side but claiming the scalp of their enemies will be even sweeter. Both teams have been better at home this season and with that in mind you get the feeling Palace just might edge this one.
