Shanna Young is coming off a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Macy Chiasson so she will be eager to bounce back and build on her 7-3 record. That was her UFC debut and the opportunity came after Nicco Montano dropped out of that fight and Young stepped in. With a full training camp behind her, she will be hoping to produce a much better performance here.

Stephanie Egger comes into this bout in the same circumstances having also lost her UFC debut with a unanimous decision going against her too. The 33-year-old Swiss bantamweight lost to Tracy Cortez last October and she will be hoping to kick-start her UFC career with a victory.

Both Shanna Young and Stephanie Egger will walk into the Octagon feeling a degree of pressure to get the win here following their debut losses in the UFC. It is Young who has the greater experience and she is marginally preferred to get the win here but it is difficult to see either fighter getting the stoppage. Neither possesses huge power and there is every chance this fight is going the distance.
