THE PREDICTION

India were excellent in the opening ODI of the series against Australia and they will be confident of recording another success in this second encounter. The Australians have now lost their last four ODI matches and their form is a real concern ahead of the upcoming World Cup. They did a solid job in the first game but will have been frustrated that they failed to score more runs despite many of their batsmen making good starts. India’s opening pair Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill did most of the damage with the chase, combining for a superb 142 and with the hosts dealing with the conditions better than their opponents, they look set to come out on top once again.
