THE PREDICTION

Russia recorded another comfortable success last time out as they saw off Switzerland and that spells trouble for Sweden who need a win to keep their hopes of progressing to the next round of the IIHF World Championship alive. The Swedes have both Czech Republic and Denmark breathing down their neck as they look to hold on to fourth spot in Group A but despite winning three of their last four, they remain in a precarious position. They got the better of Slovakia in a hugely important win in their most recent clash but the Russians are defending well having allowed just two goals in their last three victories so expect them to keep things tight in a contest that produces no more than six goals.
