This competitive Handicap Hurdle has plenty of chances in the field of eight. Fazayte has been a consistent type without getting his nose in front and a change in stable continued that run with his opening two races of this season. He opened up with a fourth-placed finish at this course in January before improving on that with a third place at Carlisle last month and that form has been franked since.
Bobndave is a lightly-raced eight-year-old that also exhibits strong consistency but is still looking for a maiden win. He is used to running on firmer ground and the give underneath on a softer surface may be what he needs to break his duck while the 3lbs that Sam Coltherd takes off could also be crucial.
Present From Dubai was poor when sixth at Newbury last time out as he failed to build on a win in his previous run at Uttoxeter. He will wear a hood for the first time in the hope of helping him to settle and he is down 2lbs from that last run which could help on what should be better ground than the heavy stuff he had to run on at Uttoxeter.
Present from Dubai is better than he showed last time out but will need to hope the first-time hood makes an impact. He will need to be much better when up against Fazayte who ran a solid race at Carlisle last month in what looked like a good race. Fazayte looked dangerous in that novice race and now shifting to handicaps, he is fancied to be first past the post.
