TSZ TIPS

PAUL CASEY

  • The Englishman has won the last two Valspar Championships and given how well he has performed on this course, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he wins a third successive Valspar this weekend.
  • The 43-year-old missed the cut at his last event at the RBC Heritage two weeks ago but that will not phase him especially given his solid form prior to that event, and with his track record around Valspar, he is a strong candidate for a top ten finish this weekend.

TIP: Top ten finish

COREY CONNERS

  • One player who is under the radar perhaps for the casual golf fan is Corey Conners who is enjoying an outstanding season and has produced four top eight finishes in his last six events including T8 at The Masters and T4 at the RBC Heritage last time out.
  • The Canadian ranks third in this field over the last two months in strokes gained on approach as well as tee to green and while it may be a big ask for him to win, he can go incredibly close on Sunday afternoon and finish top five at least.

TIP: Top five finish

JASON KOKRAK

  • One of the runners-up in the last edition of the Valspar back in 2019 was Jason Kokrak and he is one player that loves playing in Florida and has the track record to suggest he could well go close again this weekend.
  • Kokrak picked up a win at the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek earlier this season and has had three top ten finishes in his last six PGA Tour events so another good showing could very well be on the cards yet again here.

TIP: Top 20 finish
