TSZ TIPS
DUSTIN JOHNSON
- This will be the third time the Saudi International takes place and the standout player in the first two events has been Dustin Johnson who won it back in 2019 and finished as runner-up in 2020 so has relished playing on the course.
- After winning the Masters back in November, Johnson has made just one appearance so far as he finished T11 at the Sentry but he will be motivated to compete for the trophy once again here and has to be considered to win on Sunday afternoon.
TIP: Winner
BRYSON DECHAMBEAU
- Similar to Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau has only made one appearance in 2021 so far and that came at the Sentry where he ended T7 after shooting -20 so he will be raring to go on his return to action.
- The Californian did appear in the 2019 version of this event where he finished T6 behind Johnson and that came after he won the Omega Dubai Desert Classic so he is used to success on the European Tour at this time of year and he should go close here once again.
TIP: Top five finish
SERGIO GARCIA
- Sergio Garcia made his first appearance of 2021 last week in the Dubai Desert Classic and he finished T6 and while he was far from his best, there were plenty of positive signs in his play that he can start the year in good form.
- The Spaniard finished T6 in this event last year and with an early tee off time on the opening day, Garcia has a chance to stay in contention across all four days and offers good value to finish in the top ten.
TIP: Top ten finish
